To buy or not to buy?

If you have been around a while you may know I have a teenie weenie soft spot for sausage dogs. So you can imagine what happened when I came face to face with this creature hanging on a rail in Topshop.

I kind of gave him a shy pat on the head, then rubbed him on the fat tummy, then picked him up and gave him a little squeeze and then.... saw his waggy tail on the BACK.

I had to stop myself from jumping up and down whilst embracing this critter, and held my breath whilst checking the price dundundun £18.00. I left the shop dogless, telling myself I cannot spend that much on pyjamas when I already have 350 pairs- seriously I nearly need a new wardrobe just for pyjamas. But I cannot help but feel a little bit gutted  down  sad  depressed heartbroken. *sigh*

Should I go back???

Flutter those lashes.

Whilst browsing my Facebook newsfeed and seeing the usual updates about how Facebooker 1 has done three loads of washing today, facebooker 2 has cleaned his grandma's teeth, facebooker 3 is so bored and facebooker 4 clearly left their facebook signed on and who even thinks up such a status about a cow and kitchen utensils. I stumbled across a picture Glossybox had shared and literally fell in love.

Here is the picture. Taaaaadaaaaaaaa.

These eyelashes are simply the most ridiculous impractical things ever but utterly amazing. These are called "Circus". I immediately had to get onto this Etsy page- Eyelash Jewelry to look at these adorable handmade creations, I felt like Hannah stepping into Wonderland. I thought I would share a few of my favourites, because how can you not share these????

Eeeeeekkkk cupcakes, baby farm animals, tiny nemo's, real seashells, pandas, pretty beads, dazzling make up, need I say more? If you are hyperventilating like me right now, then please go and look at the store. You will not regret it. Now the practical side of me knows that if I owned any of these I would probably never be able to pull off the look/ or get a little animal stuck to my eyeball/ or loose them halfway during wearing them, and find them stuck to my chin/ or get laughed at my friends for being over the top. But the other side of me that is swooning over these beautiful creations thinks I that I really really need them and I could flutter them all day long and feel like a disney princess. They are just perfect and magical. What do you reckon? Would you do it?

P.S. I sent a picture to my dad and got a "they are hideous" response, that means I must be onto a winner :-D

Happy 2013 Resolutions.

This year I would like to:

  • Make as many opportunities as possible to see friends and family, and to appreciate these times immensely.
  • Save some money to do nice things with and stop wasting it on sweeties.
  • Let all the pretty dresses out my wardrobe and take them to bust a few moves.
  • Learn all the words to One Direction's new album Take Me Home. I had this album for Christmas and have only listened to it 10 100 times and I love it.
  • Paint my nails more, even if I can only appreciate it for a day or two (the perks of being a nurse eh?).

Lastly two blogging resolutions.
  • Blog at least once a week (my sister actually text me telling me this had to me a resolution).
  • To make this blog for me, and to not worry about what I think the content should be. I want to be able to look back at it next year and be filled with excitement, and a warm squishy feeling inside remembering special moments.

So get that wishing wand in one hand and raise that mug of tea to a magical 2013. What do you want to achieve this year?

Reviewing 2012 Resolutions.

Last year I sat pondering over new year's resolutions and decided I would make fun achievable goals, and things that I would enjoy. Who wants to start a new year with a list of chores that should be accomplished? I doubt many hands are raised right now.

I thought before I set about a new 2013 list, I should review 2012. Click here for a little peep.

1. Spend as much time with my friends and family as possible and keep friendships alive.

I have some wonderful memories with my family and friends from this year, and I have been lucky enough to meet some lovely new friends along the way.

2. Continue to enjoy blogging, reading blogs, and to make good friends with fellow bloggers.

Mmmm. Well I have enjoyed reading blogs all year but I remain a billynoblogmates. Sadly I have failed at my own blog. I started this blog when moving to a completed unknown area, where I knew no one. I used this blog to fill some spare time and update friends and family I could  no longer be with all the time. I seem to have lost sight as I have becoming busier and more involved in my new life. This does make me feel rather glum.

3. Enjoy more cocktails.

Pictures speak louder than words.

4. Go on holiday!

I ventured to Tunisia in May with Mikey. It was our first "abroad holiday", we managed to survive the whole week together without having to catch separate planes home. This is a quick summary without 2000 pictures of cats and food.

5. Appreciate my beautiful sparkly christmas present from my sister and master walking in them.

If the look I wanted to master was walking with a ferret in my knickers, then I definitely mastered it.

6. Avoid a broken ankle during the process.

No broken bones- Check. Maybe this means I did not try hard enough?

7. Teach Zebedeee how to talk, or learn hamster so we can go on adventures.

One of my saddest moments this year was saying goodbye to little Zebby when she went to the sky with her little angel wings. But we had so many exciting adventures in her lifetime, she was a very special and well travelled hamster.

8. Start making jewellery again.

Does necklaces out of paperchains or daisies count?

9. Explore London (and not just M&M World).

This is a work in progress. There is never enough time in a year to see London.

10. Use my Kindle more.

It is pretty tricky to read more whilst spending the year having adventures with friends, family and Zebedeee, learning to walk in skyscraper shoes, drinking too many cocktails, and getting lost in London.

11. Bake beautiful things and master Macaroons.

I give up attempting Macaroons. I have tried and tried. I simply do not have the macaroon baking gene. I surrender.

12. Have lots of fun and laugh till my sides hurt- preferably everyday.

:-) :-) :-) :-) There have been many mascara smudging moments.

Happy 2013.

Did you stick to any of your resolutions?
